     John H (Andy) Murray was born on 8 October 1864 at Paradise Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.1 He married Nancy ?; Nancy was probably not actually married to John H Murray but did have a child to him.2 John H (Andy) Murray married M Catherine Gregg, daughter of Robert Gregg and Eliza Jane Armer, on 18 August 1886.3 John H (Andy) Murray died on 23 March 1951 at home of grandson Ray Murray at age 86. His obituary states he was the last living person to be actively engaged in mining operation at Nickel Mines. He was employed last 10 years of operation, just before end of 19th century, worked as a smelter. After mines shut down, he worked for PRR and was a member of St John's church, Paradise.

Cause of death was cancer of the liver. Funeral Director was Ira Brown, Paradise, PA.4,5,1 He was buried on 26 March 1951 at Calvary Mt Church, Paradise Twp Lanc Co, Pennsylvania. John H (Andy) Murray Find-a-Grave.com ID # 21472943.

Ellis is listed on this census as a son of John & Catherine's. Catherine recorded that she had 7 children, 6 of them living at time of this census. Sallie Simpson is recorded as being a nurse in household.11 John H (Andy) Murray witnessed heirs of John Murray presented a renunciation of administrative rights to A. H. They were living on Mine Road.15 He and M Catherine Murray appeared on the census of 12 April 1930 at Bart Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Family lore is that Alfred Clark was his father, soon to be husband of Nancy Gregg. Only a DNA test will prove or disprove parentage.2,3 He married Mary Lavina Neal, daughter of James F Neal and Elizabeth (Bessie) Kneebone, on 3 June 1914. Ellis Martin Murray married Goldie Beard Sheffler after 1918. Ellis Martin Murray died on 30 April 1959 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 72. Cause of death was pneumonia lasting 2 weeks complicated by heart disease. Listed on this census is a Kathryn as wife, age 33.7 He was retired in 1953 at Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from Hamilton Watch Corporation. His occupation was listed as a janitor on his death certificate.8,3 He lived on 25 April 1959 at 309 Rockland St, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.8,3

Maude Edna Murray married (?) Morton. Maude Edna Murray died on 29 May 1979 at Harrison House, Christiana, Pennsylvania, at age 78.1 She was buried on 3 June 1979 at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Have cemetery records 27 Jun 1996, buried in grave 4, Section C, Lot 23 B 1/2, lot owned by Howard and her sister, Phoebe Hershberger.1
