Isaac Henry was born on 11 January 1860 at Distant, Jefferson, Pennsylvania. Birthdate in his obitary.1,2 He married Nancy Jane Charles circa 1880.3 Isaac Henry died on 11 December 1947 at Young, Indiana, Pennsylvania, at age 87. His obit: Isaac W. Henry, of Iselin, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Heard, Iselin, last evening at 6:30 o'clock. He was born in Distant, Jefferson County, January 11th, 1860, a son of Joseph and Margaret Cousins Henry. The deceased had lived in Iselin 40 years and had been engaged in mining. He was a member of the Islin Union Church.
His wife, Nancy Charles Henry preceded him in death. Surviving are the following children: Charles W., McIntyre; Arthur L., San Francisco, California; Mrs. E. J. Phillips, Kittanning; Mrs. Thomas Heard, Iselin; Mrs. Paul Anderson, Avonmore and Mrs. Orrin McMahon, Saltsburg. Twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends will be received in the Heard home, House No. 101 Iselin, after 7:00 o'clock this evening. Services will be held in the Iselin Union Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Reverend Carl Johnston will officiate. Interment will be made in the Saltsburg Cemetery.
