     Evelyn Doris Althouse was born on 2 February 1923 at Bird-in-Hand, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 She married Samuel Jacob Feister, son of William Jacob Feister and Rosanna (Annie) Armer, on 21 April 1945 at St John's UM Church, Paradise, Pennsylvania; Serving as best man was his brother, Wilmer Feister and as matron of honor, Mrs Kenneth Crist.2,3 Evelyn Doris Althouse died on 25 February 2007 at Quarryville Presbyterian Community, Quarryville, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 84.1,4 She was buried on 28 February 2007 at St John's United Methodist Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Evelyn D. Feister, 84, formerly of Paradise, died at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Sunday, February 25, 2007. Born in Bird-in-Hand, she was the daughter of the late Willis H. and Minnie Haldeman Althouse. Her husband Samuel J. Feister died in 1978. A homemaker, Evelyn also worked as a waitress and hostess at the former Dutch Town and Country and the Host. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
