Betty R. Ranck, 64, of Narvon, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at the home of her sister, Patsy Pruitt, 1272 East Earl Rd., East Earl. She was under the care of a physician. She is survived by her husband, Urban E. "Turbie" Ranck. They celebrated their 28th anniversary on September 27. Born in Salisbury Twp., she was the daughter of the late James D. and Kathryn (Price) Bills. Mrs. Ranck was a cook at many restaurants including the former Friendship Village at Pool Forge, Peoples Restaurant, New Holland and the Akron Restaurant. She attended Gospel Tabernacle Church, Narvon. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: James married to Carol (Brill) Delgado, Lancaster; a daughter, Faith D. married to Lamar Geib, Manheim; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; also three step-sons and four step-daughters; 21 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren Also two sisters: Peggy Harnish, Narvon; Patsy Pruitt, East Earl; three brothers: James married to Sally Bills, Liberty, PA; Donald Bills and Ronald F. married to Debbie (Fryberger) Bills, both of Narvon. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Gentry and a brother, Robert Bills. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA on Wednesday at 10 AM with the Rev. Dennis Moyer and the Rev. Jeff Reimold officiating. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM.1
