Genevieve Thompson Serafino, 85, died on her birthday, Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at the Harrison House in Christiana.
She was the widow of Norman L. Thompson, who died in 1949; and of Orazio "Scrappy" Serafino, who died in 1997.


     
Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Miller V. and Mamie Geissinger Greg.

She graduated from Avon Grove High School in 1938.

She had lived in Kinzers for two years, previously living in Atglen.

She was employed as a seamstress by the Hosrey Mills in West Grove, and then by the former Hoberman store in West Chester for 15 years.

She was a former member of the former Atglen United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Mozzani of Coatesville; a step-daughter, Antionette Shultz, and her husband Robert, of Atglen; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Mozzani.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg.

Interment will be in the Green Mount Cemetery in West Chester at the convenience of the family.
