     John Delaney Hawthorne was born on 15 January 1795 at White, Illinois.1,2 He married Sarah Cousins, daughter of William Cousins and Mary Ann Arrowwood, circa 1820.1 John Delaney Hawthorne died on 12 December 1872 at Wesley, Venango, Pennsylvania, at age 77.1,2 He was buried on 15 December 1872 at Wareham Cemetery, Barkeyville, Venango, Pennsylvania.3 John Delaney Hawthorne Find-a-Grave.com ID # 52367787.

He was listed as a resident in John Delaney Hawthorne and Sarah Hawthorne's household in the census report in 1850 at Sugarcreek Township, Venango, Pennsylvania; Also listed were A M Hawthorn, 13 yrs, b 1837, J B Hawthorn 10 yrs, b 1840 and Boon M Hutchinson age 5, b 1845.4 John Delaney Hawthorne appeared as Head of Household on the census of 1860 at Sugarcreek Township, Venango, Pennsylvania; Also listed in household was Nancy Webber, age 16, b 1844.5 He was listed as a resident in Juliaetta Wareham's household in the census report in 1870 at Irwin, Venango, Pennsylvania; Head of household seems to be Julia's father in law after the death of his son, Stephen in 1864.
