The original name of this clan was HAY. They came from Scotland to Ireland probably about 1610 or slightly later. They went from Creeslough to Dunfanaghy. The Hay homestead is about 3 miles out of Dunfanaghy on the road to Horn Head Point. This is about 30 miles west northwest of Londerderry. They came to America in 1854.
