Mary E. Clark, 94, of 118 Breezy Point Lane, Fox Lake, Ill., formely of Columbia, died Friday afternoon at the the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Fox Lake, after a lengthy illness.

She was the wife of the late Norman Clark who died in 1939.

Born in East Donegal Township, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Goodling Smith.

She lived in Chicago, Ill., for the last 30 years. While in Columbia, she worked at the former Second Street Silk Mill.

She was a member of Columbia Methodist Churches United.

Surviving are a daughter, Bertha, wife of Harold Heisey Sr., with whom she resided; a son, Roy Clark, Conestoga; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Betty Eshelman, Marietta R1.

     Roy J Clark was born on 4 December 1921 at 539 N. Second St., Columbia, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.2,1,3 He married Shirley Warfel.1 Roy J Clark died on 12 September 2009 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center., Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 87; Obituary:
Roy J. Clark, 87, of Conestoga, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born December 4, 1921 in Columbia, he was the son of the late Norman and Mary E. Clark. Roy is survived by his wife, Shirley M. (Warfel) Clark, of Conestoga.

Mr. Clark was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Spruce Run Hunting Club. He loved all animals, especially dogs. In his free time, Roy liked bowling, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Clark is survived by two sons: Roy and Richard Clark; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beth Heisey.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Gundel Funeral Home, 3225 Main Street, Conestoga with Rev. Melvin H. Stehr officiating. Burial will follow the service at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, 685 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
