Her age is very likely exaggerated, given that her husband's stated birth date on his stone would have made him fourteen years younger than Magdalene. In addition, Magdalene would have been 54 years old at the birth of her last son, Richard, in September of 1776. Nevertheless, her survivors described her on the headstone as one "who died at the age of 104 loaded with years and virtuous deeds."
