The 1974 alumnus of Hickory High School, Hermitage, worked for the last year with Sawhill Tube Division of Armco, Inc., Wheatland. He previously was employed for a number of years in the former Sharon Steel Corp's Farrell plant.
He was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage; and a Boy Scout leader with Pack 65 in West Middlesex. Mr. Novak also coached softball and minor league baseball in West Middlesex.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed his family camp in Clearmont, PA.
Surviving are: his former wife Mona Smith Novak; a daughter Brooke Novak; and a son, Billy, all West Middlesex; and a sister, Mrs. Michael A. (Mary E.) Rakoci, Pulaski.
