Keller, who for twenty years was the watchman at the Philadelphia & Reading Railway crossing in Coatesville, was found dead in bed at his home on Shallcross farm in East Fallowfield township this morning. Death is thought to have been caused by a stroke of apoplexy.

Mr. Keller was 75 years of age, and had lived in this section upwards of forty-five years. About thirty-five years ago, he lost his right arm by having it caught in a corn husking machine, which handicapped him considerably. Later he took the position of watchman at the crossing and through his long service there he became very well known.

Between four and five years ago he was compelled to retire and since then he has been living with his son on the Shallcross Farm.

Besides his son, Benjamin Keller Jr., he is survived by a daughter Mrs. Claude Myers, of Sadsburyville. He also has a brother, Daniel, of Reading, a sister Mrs. Frank McCorkle, of Cedar Knoll, a sister Mrs. George Kennedy, of Downingtown and another sister.
