He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Adrian, the L.O.O.M. No. 137, the Eagles No. 896, and the Kittanning Men's Club. Survivors include his wife, Mabern Leanna (Wolfe) Hockenberry; two sons; Jay D. of Wisconsin and Frank L. of East Brady; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Winifred) Weaver of West Kittanning and Freida Joann Thorp of Freemont, Ca; one brother, George L. Hockenberry of Tarentum; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Joe Hockenberry in 1976 and one brother, Clarence L. Hockenberry. Hockenberry-Friends of Frank L. Hockenberry Sr., 81, of 1029 Wilson Ave., Kittanning, who died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1985, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning, where services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dave Saylor, his Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Burial Estates. Arrangements are by Kennedy.
