Bea obtained her masters degree in Special Education and taught in the Keota school district for many years and retired in her seventies. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. In her seventies, she continued to learn and obtained a Pharmacy Technician license.
Bea loved to travel, she went to all fifty states and also traveled overseas. Bea loved spending time with her family and friends. Family was important to her. She was instrumental in planning family reunions every year.
In 2013, Bea moved to Fairfield, Iowa to be closer to her daughter. She continued to live life to the fullest, enjoying family, gardening, flowers and traveling on bus tours.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, one son Richard Lee Blake; one daughter Kay Elaine Paxton and one sister, Wilma Burks.
