     Mary K Garver was born on 12 September 1924.1,2,3 She married Melvin C Arnold.4 Mary K Garver died on 26 May 2007 at Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 82; Mary K. Arnold, 82, went home to be with the Lord at her family homestead in Paradise on Saturday, May 26, 2007. Born in Paradise Twp., she was the daughter of the late Jacob R. and Pearl Mae Steward Garver. Her husband the late Melvin C. Arnold died in 1976.

Mary first worked as a seamstress at J. R. Zimmerman Sewing Factory for 14 years and then as a clerk for W. H. Work Jewelers for 12 years, both former business' in Strasburg. She retired in 1990. She had been active in the auxiliary of American Legion Post 34 in Lancaster.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary K. Arnold, with whom he resided, and Betty Jane, wife of Harold Doutrich of Paradise.

     Ida M Treier was born on 19 May 1920 at Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.1,3,4 She married Ross W Hersh, son of Jonas F Hersh and Grace A Steward, circa 1939.1 Ida M Treier died on 12 October 2007 at Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, at age 87. Her obituary read: Ida M. Hersh, age 87 of Paradise passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 at the home of her daughter Linda in Knoxville, TN. She was the wife of the late Ross W. Bob Hersh who passed away on June 16, 1983. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late John & Rosa Bomberger Treier.

She was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise where she was very involved serving as a Sunday School Teacher and involved with the Bible Memorization Association. Ida volunteered for Paradise Meals On Wheels, Kinzer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Conestoga View for 11 years and the Office of the Aging.

She is survived by three children: John J. Hersh, of Paradise, David R., Sr., husband of Danita Sprague Hersh, of Quarryville, Linda A., wife of Ronald L. Smoker, of Knoxville, TN, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 4 siblings: Mary, wife of Robert Rottmund ,of Lancaster, Barbara, wife of Francis Richey, of Hawaii, Helen, wife of James Gilbert, of Lancaster, Dorothy Dippner, of Paradise. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Ethel Slaymaker, 8 siblings: John, Charles, Robert, James and Francis Treier, Elizabeth Waltman, Ann Hoffheinz, Rose Harsh.

Funeral service will take place from the Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise on Tuesday at 11 A.M. with a viewing from 10 to 11 A.M., Pastor Robert M. Ried will be officiating. The interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will also be a viewing on Monday, evening at the Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise from 6 to 8 P.M.3,4 She was buried on 15 October 2007 at Calvary Monument Bible Church Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.4 Ida M Treier Find-a-Grave.com ID # 118937739.
