Herr residing on what is known as the Benjamin Draucker farm. Also living in household are Ann Williams, age 19 and Wilson Anderson, age 26.2 He witnessed is listed in directory in Paradise Township, occupation laborer, home post office Kinzers. in 1869 at Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.3 He and Ellen Clark appeared on the census of 1 July 1870 at Kinzers, Paradise Twp., Lancaster.4 John Murray and Ellen Clark appeared on the census of 23 June 1880 at Paradise Township, Lancaster.5 John Murray appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Paradise Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.6 He Died in Paradise of dropsy after 3 month illness. Buried at Eckerts (currently called Calvary Monument) on Jan 31, 1901 Recorded on death register as Murry.1 He witnessed heirs of John Murray presented a renunciation of administrative rights to A. H. Diffenbaugh, Register of Willis, Lancaster County. Named are Martin Murray; John H. Murray, Abner D. Murray; and Maggie Murray (Mrs. Benjamin Murray). New administrator appointed was Jacob C.      Ellen Clark was born in 1829. She married John Murray, son of William (Henry) Murray and Catherine ?. Ellen Clark died on 25 January 1894; death date inscribed on her tombstone.1 She died on 20 February 1894 at Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; of consumption, being ill 6 weeks.2 She was buried on 23 February 1894 at Eckerts (Calvary Monument), Sadsbury Twp, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.2
     Her married name was Murray. She and John Murray appeared on the census of 1 July 1870 at Kinzers, Paradise Twp., Lancaster.3 Ellen Clark and John Murray appeared on the census of 23 June 1880 at Paradise Township, Lancaster.4 Ellen Clark Lancaster Courthouse Death Register has date of death 20 Feb 1894 at age 67 years. on 20 February 1894. She As of now I don't know where the maiden name of Clark information came from, may be in error. on 21 April 2008.5

     John H (Andy) Murray was born on 8 October 1864 at Paradise Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.1 He married Nancy ?; Nancy was probably not actually married to John H Murray but did have a child to him.2 John H (Andy) Murray married M Catherine Gregg, daughter of Robert Gregg and Eliza Jane Armer, on 18 August 1886.3 John H (Andy) Murray died on 23 March 1951 at home of grandson Ray Murray at age 86. His obituary states he was the last living person to be actively engaged in mining operation at Nickel Mines. He was employed last 10 years of operation, just before end of 19th century, worked as a smelter. After mines shut down, he worked for PRR and was a member of St John's church, Paradise.

Cause of death was cancer of the liver. Funeral Director was Ira Brown, Paradise, PA.4,5,1 He was buried on 26 March 1951 at Calvary Mt Church, Paradise Twp Lanc Co, Pennsylvania.
     He appeared on the census of 1 July 1870 at Kinzers, Paradise Twp., Lancaster.6 He appeared on the census of 23 June 1880 at Paradise Township, Lancaster.7 He was Smelter, Laborer, Carpenter between 1886 and 1940. He witnessed At time of this census, on one single page of the census were Armers, Clarks, Yohns, Murrays, and a Simpson living side by side. on 8 June 1900.8 He and M Catherine Gregg appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Paradise Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Ellis is listed on this census as a son of John & Catherine's. Catherine recorded that she had 7 children, 6 of them living at time of this census. Sallie Simpson is recorded as being a nurse in household.9 John H (Andy) Murray witnessed heirs of John Murray presented a renunciation of administrative rights to A. H. Diffenbaugh, Register of Willis, Lancaster County. Named are Martin Murray; John H. Murray, Abner D. Murray; and Maggie Murray (Mrs. Benjamin Murray). New administrator appointed was Jacob C. They were living on Mine Road.13 He and M Catherine Murray appeared on the census of 12 April 1930 at Bart Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Noted on this census was age of John at marriage, 22, and Catherine, 20.14 John H (Andy) Murray appeared on the census of 12 May 1940 at Paradise Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.15

     Ellis Martin Murray was born on 2 January 1887 at Paradise Twp, Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania. His death certificate states that his father was John H. Murray and mother was Catherine Gregg. Family lore is that Alfred Clark was his father, soon to be husband of Nancy Gregg. Only a DNA test will prove or disprove parentage.2,3 He married Mary Lavina Neal, daughter of James F Neal and Elizabeth (Bessie) Kneebone, on 3 June 1914. Ellis Martin Murray married Goldie Beard Sheffler after 1918. Ellis Martin Murray died on 30 April 1959 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 72. Cause of death was pneumonia lasting 2 weeks complicated by heart disease.
