     Miriam Keneagy was born on 12 October 1918 at Kinzers, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.1,2 She died on 1 December 2016 at Brethren Village, Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 98. Her obituary: Miriam M. Keneagy, 98, of Paradise, passed away on December 1, 2016 at Brethren Village.

Born October 12, 1918 in Kinzers, she was the daughter of Christian and Ledema (Bowers) Keneagy. She was a member of Leacock Presbyterian Church.

Mim was a graduate of Paradise High School in 1936. She was accepted into nursing at the Lancaster General Hospital and graduated in 1940. She earned her RN in 1942. After the attacks on Pearl Harbor in 1942, she joined the Army Nurse Corps to serve her country in the European Theater of Operations. In 1945, she left the Army Nurse Corps with a promotion to Captain and served in various VA hospitals. Mim retired in 1974 after 30 years of government service.

Mim is survived by a brother, Bruce Keneagy of Branford, FL, and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Harold, Woerth, and Emmanuel Keneagy.

In keeping with Mim’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at Leacock Presbyterian Cemetery at the convenience of the family.2 She was buried on 4 December 2016 at Leacock Presbyterian Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.2 Miriam Keneagy Find-a-Grave.com ID # 173442822.

     Henry Keneagy was born on 26 December 1817 at Pennsylvania.1,2 He married Sarah Ann Rowe.1 Henry Keneagy died on 27 August 1872 at age 54.1 He was buried on 31 August 1872 at Leacock Presbyterian Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.1
     He and Sarah Ann Rowe appeared on the census of 8 August 1850 at Strasburg, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At the time of this census, Henry was a hotel keeper and listed in household were tenants in hotel.2 Henry Keneagy and Sarah Ann Keneagy appeared on the census of 11 June 1860 at Soudersburg, East Lampeter Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.3
