D., of Rural Valley, he attended Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, where he graduated March 13, 1873. Dr. Morrow commenced the practice of medicine at Atwood, Pa., and continued there till 1881, when he removed to Tionesta. While a resident of Atwood he took an active part in everything that was for the betterment of the community. He was the means of a high school for academical instruction being organized in the village, and was president of the board. Upon the Doctor's removal to Tionesta, he became identified with all the various activities of that place, educational, religious and social, in all of which he maintained a keen interest till his death, Aug. 5, 1905.4 He began military service in 1861 At various times he was given positions of honor and trust in the county, especially in connection with his work as a physician. He assisted in organizing Capt. George Stowe Post, No. 137, G. A. R., and was its adjutant for more than twenty years, having served as corporal of Company M, 5th Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery, during the last year of the Civil war; was a member of the board of medical examiners for Forest county, and was especially helpful to the veterans of the Civil war in obtaining pensions; for many years was a member of the Venango County Medical Society; was a member of the Medical Society of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Medical Society of America; was also an elder in the United Presbyterian Church.4 He became Carrie Evelyn Stuchell and John Wilson Morrow's adoptive father in 1893.4

     James Hutchinson Morrow was born on 19 January 1839 at Pennsylvania.3,2 He married Mary Jane Love in May 1875 at Pennsylvania; In May, 1875, he was married to Mary Jane Love, of Rochester, N. Y., daughter of Andrew and Mary (Wylie) Love, natives of the Province of Ulster, Ireland, and both early residents of the city of Rochester. Mrs. Morrow died in February, 1914. Mr. and Mrs. Morrow reared one daughter, Emma Love Morrow.2,4 James Hutchinson Morrow died on 10 November 1889 at Dexter, Iowa, at age 50; After his ordination he served in the Presbyteries of the Middle West under the Board of Home Missions of the United Presbyterian Church, his last charge being at Dexter, Iowa, where he died Nov. 10, 1889.4 He was buried on 13 November 1889 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe County, New York.      Mary Jane Love was born in 1837.1 She married James Hutchinson Morrow, son of William Morrow and Martha Hutchinson, in May 1875 at Pennsylvania; In May, 1875, he was married to Mary Jane Love, of Rochester, N.
