He was the husband of Evelyn Summers Eby with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage on November 23rd. He was born in Salisbury Township, son of the late Chester W. & Gladys Yelk Eby. He graduated from the former Salisbury Township High School class of 1945. He was a member of Pequea Presbyterian Church of Gap, where in the past he was treasurer for 39 years and was on the Session for many years. Chet was a farmer in the Kinzer area for most of his life. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the Army. He was one of the founding members of the Pleasant View Hunting Club of Clinton County. He enjoyed gardening, trees, especially walnut trees. Surviving besides his wife are 3 children: Cathy A. Eby wife of David F. Rossetti of Palmyra, PA, Bethany K. Eby of Portland, OR, Chester Craig husband of Karen Keneagy Eby of Kinzers, 3 granddaughters: Harmony Ayala, Jamie McGinnis & Carissa Knight, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Robert husband of Betty Herman Eby of Willow Street, Richard husband of Kathy Beck of New Holland. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: William & Robert Eby. Funeral service will take place from the Pequea Presbyterian Church 273 Cambridge Road, Gap, PA on Saturday November 30th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Beth Engel will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pequea Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, 273 Cambridge Road, Gap, PA 17527..1
