Elizabeth L. Rutter, 91, of 1232 East Earl Rd., East Earl, died Saturday evening at the Essa Flory Hospice Center following a several week illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Rutter in 2001. Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Barton and Amanda (Baxter) Laukhuff. She retired in 1980 from the East Earl Post Office where she had worked for 30 years, the last nine as the Postmaster. A member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church, she was also past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Blue Ball Fire Company. She also crocheted lap robes for nursing homes. Surviving is a son, Robert married to Gladys (Gregg) Rutter, East Earl, and a daughter, Betty Jane Rathman, Paradise; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Laukhuff, Blue Ball. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Frank and four brothers: Lloyd Laukhuff, Charles Laukhuff, Paul Laukhuff, and Lester Laukhuff. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Ranck's United Methodist Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Born in 1932, he was the son of Jonathan Fisher Esh and Salomie Smoker Esh. Aaron is survived by his wife, Gladys Swinehart Esh to whom he was married for 61 years. He is also survived by three children, Wanda, married to Brian Gregg, Carl Esh married to Patti, David Esh married to Pam; 6 grandchildren Andrea, Brandi, Nate, Erin, Zachary and Jana Beth; 11 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Aaron was preceded in death by 6 siblings Daniel S. Esh, Barbara Fisher, Arie S. Lapp, Amos S. Esh, Mary S. Fisher, and Jonas S. Esh. He is survived by two sisters Annie Lapp, Ronks and Sadie Fisher, Gordonville. He is also survived by his loyal friend, Les Miller.
Aaron was born and raised in the Old Order Amish Faith. At age 21 he enlisted in the Army where he served 3 years in Korea fighting for our country, part of which was spent assigned to the 3rd Infantry Brigade. He was self-employed for most of his career and later retired from Red Rose Transit in 1996, after 16 years of service.
He was a member of Faith Church in Lancaster and attended church services at Calvary Homes. He held many volunteer positions over his lifetime, including volunteering for Gordonville Fire and Ambulance Association, Salvation Army, and Calvary Homes. He was a founding member of the Alley Oop Hunting Camp in Lycoming County. He loved dogs and enjoyed “dogsitting” for friends, family and residents of Calvary Homes. He also enjoyed carving and was a member of the York carving club. He was a man of great faith and cared very much for his family and country.
A celebration of Aaron’s life will take place 2 PM, Friday, July 7, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall at Calvary Fellowship Homes, with Chaplain Kevin M. Brown, Sr. officiating. Aaron’s family will greet friends immediately following the celebration. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Fellowship Homes Benevolent Fund, 502 Elizabeth Dr., Lancaster, PA 17601 or to Caring Hospice Services, 101 Good Dr., Lancaster, 17603.

     Dorothy Wimer was born on 10 August 1921.1 She married John W Dearolf, son of Harry H Dearolf and Martha H Gregg, on 28 March 1943 at Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Dorothy Wimer died on 17 October 2010 at Mount Joy Hospice, Mount Joy, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 89. Her obituary reads:
Dorothy E. Wimer Dearolf, age 89, of Strasburg, PA, died peacefully Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mt. Joy, PA. She was born in Eden Township, a daughter of the late Roy W. and Olive S. Oatman Wimer. She was the wife of John W. Dearolf who died January 3, 2008.

Dorothy worked at J.F. Appel Jeweler, Hamilton Watch Co., J.C. Pontz grocery store, J.H. Witmer IGA Store, First National Bank of Strasburg, and Bank of Lancaster County until her retirement in 1986. She sold Avon for 8 years in and around the Strasburg area. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Dorothy was a life-time member of Mt. Eden Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving is a son, Barry married to Pat Reinhart Dearolf of Quarryville; a granddaughter, Jodi married to Bryan Long of Lancaster; two great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Lefever, and a brother, Harold Wimer.

Funeral services will be held from Mt. Eden Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1241 May Post Office Road, Quarryville, PA on Thursday at 3:00 PM with Pastor Traci B. Glover officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 PM and again on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Ronald W. and Gere L. Reisinger Doutrich of Paradise. In his youth, Scott attended Calvary Monument Bible Church. He was a graduate of Solanco High School Class of 1988. He was a mechanic and worked at Compass Quarries in Paradise, Dart Container in Leola, and most recently Morgan Trucking in Denver.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by 2 daughters, Kelly Jo and Leann Doutrich, daughters of Janice Movinsky Doutrich of Lancaster; 2 siblings, Lori L. wife of Barry Kreider of Pequea, Kevin R. husband of Connie Smith Doutrich of Conestoga, and his girlfriend Joannie Gappa with whom he resided.

A funeral service will take place at the Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise on Thursday, December 1 at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service with Pastor Tom Hubbard officiating.
