Mary had been employed by the former Hess's Department Store and then worked as a bookkeeper for the former Bank of Lancaster County, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Bird In Hand United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary to the former Paul R. Strubel VFW Post #8710, Strasburg, the Order of Eastern Star, James Buchanan Chapter # 315, and a former member of the Strasburg Cemetery Board. Surviving beside her husband Paul are two daughters Barbara Ann wife of Don W. Hertzog of Florence, KY, Susan E. married to John R. Hoffman of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Jeffrey LaVan, Toby Eckman, Melissa Kaylor; five great grandchildren; and a brother John F. married to Martha Myers Koch of New Holland. Mary was preceded in death by a brother William T. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Isabel (Keller) Lockard. Ralph was the loving husband of Betty J. (Koch) Lockard for 59 years.

A 1951 graduate of Columbia High School, Ralph worked as a tester for Bendix Corporation for 18 years and then for ISC and Sechan Electronics, Inc.

Ralph loved family time and his grandchildren. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of Strasburg Lions Club. He enjoyed trains and was a member and volunteer for Friends of the Rail Road Museum of PA, and was named volunteer of the year in 2008. He was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Ralph enjoyed history and was very proud that his great-grandfather John Lockard was involved in burning the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge during the Civil War to stop the Confederate advance.

Surviving in addition to his wife Betty are their three children: Michael S. Lockard of Strasburg, Barbara D., wife of John W. Gaunt of Greenwood, DE, and Douglas A. Lockard, husband of Janet C. of Huntingdon Valley, PA; and their four grandchildren: Richard and Abigail Gaunt and Wesley and Celeste Lockard.

A viewing will take place from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by the funeral at 12 pm, with the Rev. David R. Alderson officiating, on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Wesley United Methodist Church. His Obit: Walter F. Koch, Jr., 79, of Quarryville, died unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was born in Strasburg to the late Walter F., Sr. and Florence Gochenour Koch. Walt celebrated 57 years of marriage with his wife, Pearl Mellott Koch, on July 3rd.

A graduate of Paradise High School, Walt served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and then active duty in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1960 to 1962. He owned and operated Koch Plumbing and Heating, Inc., now run by his son Stephen.

Walt was a member of New Providence Church of God. He loved the Lord and his wife and family. Walt enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and hunting at his cabin in Potter County. He also enjoyed the Fenwick Island beach house and was especially fond of his historic home and property in Eden Twp. Walt was a member of Washington Lodge #156 F.& A.M.

Surviving besides his wife, Pearl, are their four children, Mark F. Koch, husband of Lori (Hohenwarter) of Manheim, Cindy Koch, wife of Inga Stevens of Wendell, MA, David Koch, husband of Kelly (Huss) of Andover, NY and Stephen Koch, husband of Sue (Clites) of Quarryville; six grandchildren, Derek Koch, husband of Heidi (Smith), Jared Koch, Whitney (Koch), wife of G.J. Frankford, Matthew Koch, husband of Jessica (Roldan), Nicole White and Nathan Koch; four great-grandchildren, Landon White, Tony and Luna Koch and Easton Frankford; and his siblings, Betty, wife of the late Ralph Lockard, Frank Koch, husband of Nancy (Kutz) and Thomas Koch, husband of Linda (Bard).

A viewing will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 from 1 to 3 PM, followed by the funeral at 3 PM, with Rev. Dwight E. Lefever officiating, at New Providence Church of God. Private interment in Quarryville Cemetery. Charles Snavely officiating.1 Ellen Minerva Rynier died on 22 May 2014 at Lancaster, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at age 98.2 She was buried on 27 May 2014 at Paradise Mennonite Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Ellen R. Feister, 98, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, May 22, 2014 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Elmer W. Feister, who died in 1998 after 57 years of marriage.

Ellen was a graduate of the former Paradise High School, class of 1934. A homemaker, Ellen also retired after 10 years at Novelty Brush Company.

She was a life time member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Paradise.

She enjoyed going out to eat at local restaurants. Ellen also enjoyed newspaper puzzles, gardening and watching the Phillies. She loved to vacation at Ocean City, MD and Wildwood, NJ. Ellen drove her car until she was 96 years of age and loved shopping at the former Watt & Shand department store.

Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Adam E. and Elsie E. (Leaman) Rynier. Ellen is survived by two sons, Randall Feister of Lititz and James, married to Carol Ann Feister of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Lori, married to Brian Mauck of Lancaster, Kory W. Feister of Elizabethtown, Nathan Feister of Lancaster and Erin, married to Thomas Watts of York; one great-granddaughter, Cecelia Watts and a sister, M. Jean Rynier of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Ellen’s laughter and endearing humor will be lovingly missed by her family. They would like to thank the staff at Lancaster General Hospital for their kindness and care.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 Am. in St. John’s United Methodist Church, 3001 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA, 17562, with Pastor Eugene Errickson officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 Am. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Paradise Mennonite Cemetery.2
